The Seedlot Project  

The Seedlot Project is a community organization benefiting the Upper Catskill Region in New York. Our annual summer festival is a combination of performances and recordings of newly commissioned works; and workshops for the youth of the community. The commissions are carefully selected to create a diverse and prolific tapestry of contemporary music.  The workshops are designed to shine a modern light on acoustic instruments; demonstrate the possibilities of electronic media in music; and inspire the students to find their individual voices.

We believe introducing modern music to students at a young age is vital to maintaining the integrity of contemporary art-- courses of the electro-acoustic and ultra-modern genres will someday be standard at music festivals worldwide; we intend to pioneer this journey.
