In collaboration with The Rivington Salon, Ensemble Pamplemousse is pleased to announce its first ever Halloween concert bonanza! In addition to George Crumb’s infamous string quartet Black Angels, three new works will be performed including the world première of New York composer Rama Gottfried’s Death of Samo©™ for trombone quartet, Natacha Diels and Andrew Greenwald’s XXXXXX, for percussion and electronics, and the New York première of Berlin-based composer and reductionist tuba virtuoso Robin Hayward’s Crank Shaft, for solo violin.

After indulging in the spooky sounds of Ensemble Pamplemousse we invite our costumed and civilian guests to partake in food and drink, and cavort amidst Judith Braun’s pencil lines and portraits, gaze at horror films projected throughout the space, and encounter Langdon Crawford’s space sensitive sounds, all at the Rivington Salon’s inaugural event, on the eve of All Hallow’s Eve, arguably the most mysterious night of the year.

Proceeds will benefit the production of Ensemble Pamplemousse’s spring collaboration with composers Rama Gottfried, Natacha Diels and Tobias Wagner, performers Rich Bennett, Kiku Enomoto, Andrew Greenwald and Laura Usiskin with designer Scott Carpenter.
